Visual Arts Enrichment Practitioner Pack

Introduce students to an artistic and creative programme that develops themes of colour, shape and pattern and can culminate in the creation of either mural tiles or a large-scale mural. There are some natural opportunities here for using skills in measuring, shape and space and other areas of numeracy. You can give learners a creative and engaging experience, which they can apply in other settings.

The practitioner pack introduces the aims and plan of the programme and sets out sessions, including:

• Mixing colours
• Cartooning
• Using shape and colour
• Understanding scale.

The practitioners' manual lays out literacy and numeracy objectives and links the programme to other programmes and useful external resources. The practitioners' resources link in with the sessions and help to make the programme interactive. The pack consists of a practitioners' manual (116pp), practitioners' resources (38pp), a learners' sketchbook (65pp) and a stencil.
