Storytelling Practitioner Box
Offer learners the chance to both listen to stories and start developing their own. Explore storytelling, storylines and the development of myths, encouraging learners to become involved and to get their own stories down on paper or audio. The practitioner pack introduces the aims and plan of the programme and sets out sessions, including:
- Story consequences
- Tall stories - urban myths
- Creating a children's story.
The practitioners' manual lays out literacy and numeracy objectives and links the programme to other PLUS programmes and useful external resources. The practitioners' resources link in with the sessions and help to make the programme interactive.
The pack consists of a practitioners' manual (56pp), practitioners' resources (36pp), a learners' anthology (48pp) and notebook (48pp) and a CD that is both an audio CD and a CD-ROM.
These enrichment materials were developed by ECOTEC Research and Consulting Ltd and Artists on behalf of the Arts Council England and the Youth Justice Board for England and Wales.
