Matt Wilcox East Midlands; London; West Midlands; North West; Wales; North East Wales;
My name is Matt Wilcox and I run an award-winning social enterprise based in the West Midlands called Unity. This organisation offers modern, innovative, bespoke solutions to local and national social problems, using creative artforms as a vehicle to do so. We have seven full-time staff who all have creative specialisms, which means that we can cater for a broad spectrum of creative requirements in-house. We have delivered over the past three years on Summer Arts Colleges and each year, have generated many successful outcomes.
Stoke Challenge: An innovate partnership between Connexions and ourselves to offer a short programme that engages young people in the arts and empowers them back into education, employment or training
Alternative Education: Our academy offers a programme that combines the arts and personal social development opportunities for young people excluded from mainstream schooling.
Youth Music Awards: A yearly event where we support a group of young people to manage their own music showcase, highlighting local people's musical talents alongside national celebrities.
